When and Where to ‘Step Out’
Saturday, September 9,
8:45 a.m. Kickoff on Gundersen - La Crosse Campus walking trail on the main stage, rain or shine! There will be a short program along with special survivor recognition.
9:00 a.m. Official start time. Walk all or part of the 2.5 or 4.5 mile course, shuttle available at Pepsi for those needing assistance. Be on the trail by 10 a.m. to ensure trail services. Complete your walk by noon. Walk begins at the VIP Trail - which begins in the back of Parking Lot F. Use 1836 South Avenue, La Crosse, WI to direct you to the hospital - there will be signage all around for parking and directions to the start of the trail.
At markers, volunteers from Gundersen departments and sponsors will offer motivation, refreshments, first aid, places to rest and our fabulous “Tinkled Pink” Potties.
No dogs, rollerblades or runners allowed on the walk.
Raise money. Win
Get in the spirit and celebrate eleven years of raising money for local breast cancer research by raising money individually or setting up a team to help make this the best year yet. Pink ribbon trophies will be awarded to the top three community teams, top three Gundersen teams, top three corporate teams, top three individual fundraisers and team with the highest percentage of money raised for Gundersen, community and corporate teams.
Web Pages and Pledges
Set up your individual or team web page and encourage friends, family and co-workers to help you reach your goal. Many employers offer an “employee match program” for donations, ask donors to check on this option. Pledging online through this site is encouraged.
There are two incentive levels to receive prizes. Raise $100 and receive a Steppin’ Out in Pink Melrose Tumbler. Be one of the first 500 to raise $150 and receive a Steppin' Out in Pink luxury blanket and the Melrose tumbler. Only one tumbler and blanket will be awarded per registrant.
Help us save costs by registering online at steppinoutinpink.org. Early bird and regular registrations received by Monday, August 28 receive a 2017 T-shirt, refreshments, entertainment and chances to win prizes. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after Monday, August 28.
Early bird registration is $15 (13 years and over), $5 for ages 5-12, Free for 0-4 (no shirt) and runs May 1 through Friday, June 30 at midnight. Regular registration is $20 (13 years and over) and runs Saturday, July 1 through Monday, September 4 at midnight. Day of event registration is $25(13 years and over) and runs Tuesday, September 5 through Saturday, September 9.
Mail in registrations need to be postmarked by Monday, August 28 by 5 p.m. to allow for processing. T-shirts are guaranteed for all registrations received by this date. Refunds will not be given. No confirmation will be sent.
Registration fee covers the cost of the T-shirt and event. Please consider helping us raise money for breast cancer research by making a donation and collecting pledges.
